Chunks of chicken tossed in a thick french onion gravy loaded with sautéed vidalia onions and melted swiss cheese. That is super served over slices of french bread, egg noodles or rice.

Years in the past i used to be now not keen on french onion soup. It’s humorous as it wasn’t that i didn’t find it irresistible, i simply in no way tried it. At some point i caved and finally attempted it. It turned into existence converting. Why did i wait so long to attempt a heat bowl of french onion soup loaded with soft onions, a thick slice of crusty bread crowned with ooey, gooey melted cheese.

Now it’s one in all my favorite soups, specially within the fall. I love to make it on a fab fall sunday while we're watching football. It’s just one of these traditional comfort foods that in no way receives old.

This french onion chicken has all the flavors of french onion soup combined right into a yummy circle of relatives-pleasant skillet meal. My favored way to serve this is over thick slices of french bread, egg noodles or rice. In place of a soupy dish, i created a french onion gravy which sincerely offers this dish that classic flavor. It’s crowned with masses of shredded swiss cheese and baked within the oven for a few minutes till the cheese is melted.

Once I caramelize onions or make french onion soup i like to apply georgia grown vidalia onions, they are virtually certainly one of my favorites! They sincerely add a whole lot of flavor and a touch of sweetness to any recipe.
