Slow Cooked Shredded Beef Ragu Pasta



Recipe video above. Ragu is one of those recipes that really showcases the beauty of Italian cooking - everyday ingredients, fast prep, leave it to cook long and slow and you end up with a luscious dish that tastes like a million bucks. This recipe makes enough sauce to serve 8 and freezes great.

1 1/4 kg Chuck beef

1 cup Carrots

1 Parsley, Fresh
3/4 tsp Thyme, dried
800 g Tomatoes, canned

2 Beef bouillon cubes
3 tbsp Tomato paste
Pasta & grains
1 lb Pappardelle, dried
Baking & spices
1 Black pepper
1 tbsp Salt
Oils & vinegars
3 tbsp Olive oil
Dairy
1 Parmesan cheese or parmigiano reggiano
Beer, wine & spirits
1 cup Red wine
Liquids
1 1/2 cups Water
