Southern Pinto Beans and Hamhocks Made in the Crock Pot

This is a foolproof and easy recipe for Southern Pinto Beans. You don't need to do any additional soaking, just cook and let the flavors of the ham marry with the beans. This is a great recipe to make earlier in the day as slow cooking allows the flavors to develop.

1 tbsp Garlic
3 cups Pinto beans, dry
1 Yellow onion, medium sized
Baking & spices
1/2 tsp Black pepper, ground
7 cups Water
1 Large ham hock or substitute
1 tbsp Mrs. dash or 2 tsp seasoning salt
